Need a logo and social media icons for an entertainment blog; will likely need website creative as well as a secondary project.

Background:
I am a single father building a blog with a collection of images, impressions and opinions based on my experiences raising kids on my own in a post-divorce environment. Subjects lend humor to establish a dialog that is candid, approachable, sarcastic and relatable…while at times brutal and blunt. This blog is both an outlet and a statement, and the voice is my own personal narrative.
Blog Objective:
Create a following; start conversations; lend learning; encourage sharing in many formats including social media; distinguish and promote a voice and an identity
Target Audience:
Primary: single fathers over 35 in the U.S.; secondary: married fathers over 35, single and married mothers over 35 in the U.S.
Message:
Bold, loud, passionate, opinionated, real, honest, loyal, compassionate, strong. Well-spoken and creative but still vulnerable and exposed. Drive by rule #1: Be judged not by what life throws at you, but by how you throw it back.
Logo's Distinguishing Characteristics:
Alpha male, head of family, fun, sarcastic, grounded, loved, proud, dedicated, complicated but basic, chaotic but focused, exposed and raw.
Logo's Creative Considerations:
Simple lines, dominate colors; masculine; slightly childish/comical; whimsical. Creative should lend a neutral background to highlight text and message but should provide an approachable representation that lends easy distinction from afar. Logo should be able to stand on its own with no words and be simple to draw, a sort of “Kilroy was here” or “x marks the spot” type of leave behind. Creative should help lend a movement with a simple identification to aid connection and affiliation. Need to be able to apply to web, social, and potentially apparel.
