Brief de Web Design

Thank you for considering my job.

I need a layout design for a website. The design should preferably suit ProfitsTheme Wordpress layout. Please design according to the attached LAYOUT.GIF

I already have a logo which I like but could be pushed to change if you have an exceptional design. Otherwise I would like to try to incorporate the jigsaw pieces in the design somehow.

Our company is based in Australia and called Divorce Resource. We have developed a "Split Kit" to assist both men and women going through divorce to prepare themselves adequately before the seek legal or financial advice to ensure they pay professionals for "advice" and not instructions on basic administration.

I hope the successful candidate will also be able to design a logo and squeeze page and all of the marketing images I will need to accompany The Split Kit in a few weeks time, though it is not part of this job.

I have attached a very rough guide as to the types of elements and how I would like it to feel. I am not set on any of the fonts or general presentation at all. I feel comfortable with the colour scheme but again, open to ideas. Although the logo has the dark teal green background, I am not sure this works on the web page - open to ideas.

Some must haves:
a video on the front page
an opt in/members' login
link to Amazon books sales (affiliate widget)
Disclaimer must be visible on first SCREEN

The website must portray a professional, trustworthy and up to date type image - similar to a law firm, accounting firm, bank or university. It must be clean and crisp, inviting and non-gender biased.

Essentially, it is a multi level membership site that provides "legal and financial" advice and information to men and women about divorce in Australia.  It sells products.  I am seeking the layout for the home page - to be carried to supporting pages.  Also layout for forum.   Here are some examples of similar types of sites:

I would really like to somehow incorporate the jigsaw pieces out of the logo into the design of the body of the site some how.

Perhaps buttons or cursor???   Somehow just subtly include it.

We will be using a jigsaw - putting the pieces of your life back together - concept alot in the future.

We really want to people to associate the jigsaw pieces with our brand.

As the designs have come in, I am starting to see that the colours I had chosen for the logo jigsaw pieces may not be working that well - perhaps they are too bright.  I especially do not like the bright blue when it is extracted into the body of the website.

Please feel free to play with the colours to make it more appealing - must remain crisp and professional.  Please stay away from black in the logo.

From a calming perspective, I do still like the teal/blue/green options (would it work with orange?)

Thank you to all designers for your participation.  I was very impressed with some of the designs and the decision was tight.  I really do appreciate the extra effort of a couple of designers and I have upgraded the project to award participation fees.  I will also add designers to my list for invites to future projects.  Thanks and best wishes.
