Brief de Design de Logo

I require a new logo for my newly incorporated company Drive IT Consulting Limited. This is a New Zealand based business with ties to our clean, green, image. The founder hails from the Amazing Raglan West Coast, beaches, sun, black sand beaches and fun. The company specialises in providing outstanding levels of service to our customer base, and we're driving the future of IT.
Designs Submitted should be in Black or colours of charcoal/gummetal/grey, or a surprise with a sportscar colour (e.g. ferarri red). We are fast, and we deliver - so designs should replicate smooth lines in a car logo or gear shifter or something like that of some sort - almost the kind of image you see when airbrushed wind tunnel cars are created. think smoothe, sophisticated, elegant, on time, playing on the knifes edge of innovation, but not boy-racer ugly.
This business works in the government and private sector and as such needs to look and feel like the business it will be - that is a leader in IT delivery in NZ.
This is a quick turnaround project, so expect quick responses to submissions also.

Doit avoir

• Some sort of car/drive/gearshift logo adaptation that is unique (copy write and trademark protection). • IT must be in capitals, Drive/Consulting/Limited capitalised (not all Caps).
• Logos suitable for printing, apparell, and possibly branding a vehicle.

Bien d'avoir

• Out of the box thinking - i'm thinking of a car logo type design, but happy to see other 'Drive' 'Driven' 'Ambition' 'Future' related themes.
• for colours - dark/simple colours are best, else racing colours like Ferrari red. I'd also consider something possibly like gold on black or black on gold if it carried the right look...unsure on this - but possibly metallic/metal colours (gold/silver/titanium/chrome/brushed aluminium to name a few).

Ne doit pas comporter

• Mutliple colours. Contemporary, elegant, simple, understood are key words. not loud, mixed, multiplied in colour, or ambiguous.
• Think inspiration, bold, driving forward, future - that kind of idea.
• Anything in the car theme that lends to boy racer type imagery.
