Brief de Design de Brochure

Redwood Systems (www.redwoodsystems.com) has a half-dozen white papers published, with new ones in development and we would like to upgrade our template design. We would like this design to be delivered in a blank, company-branded template that our marketing staff can easily use to re-format our existing whitepapers and use as a template for our upcoming white papers which are usually written in MS Word. The target audiences are managers and executives in commercial construction, information technology, commercial lighting, analysts and related industry professionals.

If we are pleased with the design, the winning designer may also be hired to refresh other collateral projects like case studies and data sheets.

Requirements:

The template should be either a file in MS Word, Pages, or InDesign. It should be easy to paste in copy and graphics from an MS Word doc into the template and save the final version as a pdf for posting to our website.
The whitepapers will end up on the site as downloadable .pdf files so they must look good on screen as well as if a user prints it.
There should be an attractive cover page with our logo with graphics and colors consistent with our brand. We need to be able to easily adjust images, titles, subtitles and attribution.
The template should allow for different lengths of text, inclusion of graphs and other images with text wrapping.
The template should include at least:
- Cover page
- Executive summary page
- Main text design with header, footer, section titles, paragraph titles
- An assortment of graphic boxes that we could apply throughout the whitepaper for things we want to highlight such as: quotes, charts, graphs, images, diagrams, a list of additional resources
- A final page with a 'key takeaways' box, boilerplate about the company, highlighted additional resources, author bio, legal copywrite,
The whitepaper should be more or less consistent with our current website design. See our site for fonts, logos and colors.
We are looking for 8.5 x 11" size for the whitepaper template. Whitepapers are likely to be 4-15 pages long.
Template needs to be brand-appropriate; please see the website and corporate brochure for guidance.
As this is pre-sales information, we're looking to convey a confidence and professionalism while being accessible, open and contemporary.

PeopleCube - attractive cover page graphics (although top building design is too large and the font is ugly). Option for two columns is helpful.
