Thank you for all the submissions so far. I was impressed with the quality of work. I added some samples of logos to the project brief. These some examples of logos which I believe are very clean, simple, but elegant. Some have an emblem some don't. Like I said in the description of the project I would like to have an icon or emblem to use it for other things in the restaurant. After reviewing all the logos and getting some feedback from friends and family I feel the need to give additional feedback and information about the project. Convivio comes from a need to share a passion from the Italian culture and food with others. The restaurant is more than just one thing, Convivio is multiple things. It's a reflection of who I am and a collaboration with other people. Convivio is ultimately fun and it intends to be unpretentious but smart and witty. Convivio is a relaxing upbeat place but at the same time in its simple elegance can provide for an intimate and elegant experience for those who want to be more serious. There's a thin line in between elegant and playful. We want the logo to represent this place. Some of the logos are exactly like what I originally asked in some of the examples I provided. They are great and very elegant but perhaps can be a little bit witty, playful. I am going through this process with you therefore I apologize if I might led you in the wrong direction. I'm looking for upbeat, cool, and classy.

Another piece of information that might help here is that convivio is a literary work by Dante Alighieri the father of the Italian language. In this book Dante Alighieri commented on the philosophy and culture of the day. Convivio is also a state of mind. Whenever you might see a group of people breaking bread together as the Italians so famously do- enjoying the moment, the company, and the conversation- that is the essence of Convivio. When you think of Convivio, think of love of life, food, and culture.
