Brief de Web Design

Background:

I'm a web developer who needs a designer for this task. I can do some simple design + UX and back-end programming, so you need to be a gun designer. If you can also cut-up, it's a bonus, but I need someone who understands and breathes design, not interested in a hack design job.

The Job:

I need

(1) a logo for "fzing" (fzing.com and fzing.com.au) pronounced "fuh-zing". (the logo is going to be more "fun" looking than the web site)
(2) a simple, clean and elegant web design for an online shop

fzing is an online shop that sells top-line consumer electronic products at heavily discounted prices: think Apple laptops, iPhones, iPads, Samsung smartphones, SLR or high-end compact Cameras and lenses.

The feel for this business is contemporary, simple, affordable (but not cheap), and someone who understands the technology, and only sells the best brands and latest items.

The web site and web shop is customised (not wordpress) but should be not too colourful (think apple products, platinum, white, black, grey, or SLR cameras, etc) though sparse use of colour is ok.

Basically the final site should convey the products themselves (and their qualities)

Deliverables:

1) Logo, in AI and PNG
2) Web site, in PSD format ready for cut-up. Provide (a) home page design + (b) product page + (c) general "blank" content page (for putting content/ordering/cart, etc). provide sample layer for nav widget.

Criteria:
* good design
* cut-up to CSS/JS/HTML a bonus to win, but if you can't do cut up, just do more 1-2 more PSD samples of the web site.
* basically, the best/good enough design that needs me to do the least work wins! :)

It's a dead easy job for a good designer!
