Brief de Design de Logo
The Curated Loom
The Curated Loom is an upstart art/design business based on Keith Boyd’s paintings that have earth elements. Boyd’s paintings are transferred onto fabrics by Emily Gartner for stretched fabrics on frames, one of a kind chairs, pillows, and foot stools. Fabrics will be available for purchase in yardage, as well. 6 fabric lines per season will be offered in limited edition.
Company will offer items to purchase domestically and internationally via online and BTB. Company will also work with independent interior designers and gallery owners, as well as consumers to purchase our fabrics. Fabrics stretched on frames will be the mainstay of the company. Boyd's original paintings will also be for sell at the end of the line.
Line will be offered in a full curated collection.
Logo Style Perimeters
-'the' is in all lowercase, 'Curated Loom' prefer it to be in script font illustrating a single continuous thread
-separation between the two words, logo symbol could go here
-logo symbol: drips of paint from a brush can evolve into waves/folds of fabric
-tag line: (leave a place holder for this with a 2nd font type here)
-prefer 2-3 colors max, lighter colors
-need a B/W version as well
-need thumbnail sketches
-logo symbol needs to work for metal hardware on handbags, hangtags in clothing, so must be clean, simple lines that can be easily die cut on metal and printed on fabric
-prefer plain style font, clean and simple

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We are extending the deadline as we become more focused on a company name. The word "earth" became limiting in how we purchase supplies, customers we cater to and how we position ourselves in our community. Fonts will remain the same, colors the same, and style the same.....just letters will change.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We have made a number of changes on the focus of our new company. That is why we've decided to change the name to 'the Curated Loom'. It helps people know immediately that we are selling collections of original paintings and manipulating them into woven fabrics. We then spend less time educating them on who we are based on an abstract idea. That's why we are extending our deadline by two days to give you more time to think about the new name. We are hoping for a logo that represents a paint brush with drops of paint that evolve into waves or folds of fabric. Illustrated very simply.
