Are you planning on a website re-design based on the winning submission or should I try and base my logo design around your existing site's layout and colors (along with your listed preferences in the brief)?

Hi, thanks for your submission, no we are not re-designing the website, we are looking for a strong UN-cluttered recognizable logo for the front of our gallery and general packaging items. Need high res for reproduction. Logo provided is just a reference, please feel free to be creative with design.

All of the sentence below is not written to judge winner designer, or his creativy and talent. Congrats designer for that award. Just to give an idea for the contest holders to write their briefs more clear so designers could give what they expected.
These are the sentence form the brief...
Julie has had exhibitions throughout world, and the logo needs to represent her status as a celebrated artist.
Does it represent?

The preferred main colour theme should be either, burnt orange,rich blue(representing the full clear sky's of the area)or purple(previous corporate colour). Other complimentary colours can be incorporated.
Is it Colourful?

We want a simple but strong colorful logo that is easily recognizable, that carry's the vibrancy and class of the artist.Would prefer a three dimensional feel.

Can the text easily been recognized or read?
Carry the vibrancy and class?

So you gave the brief, misdirect, and chose the one of the designer you invited. I just wished you got this designer with a freelance job, and finish the logo as a freelance job process..

Although we do not really understand your issues, no misdirect. And ask you carefully re-read, etc colours could be either, not all. If we are too stringent it stifles creativity.

Clear to read, Yes.
Burnt orange, Yes.
It's simple and strong.and is not overstated(is recognizable and understandable at a glance).
The text flows, Yes
Stated we would prefer(not must have) a 3D feel, a bit of shadow will give the 3d effect,

We appreciate all who submitted designs, and thank you for that.

I didn't want to be inpolite at my comments and don't have an issue with you personally, I still don't think brief is clear enough for this logo, probably I understand it wrong :) I think I made things complicated for myself. Maybe buy comments was a litte emotional too, excuse me if I disturbed you.

Anyway, it was a great experience for me and had great time working in this project. I personally liked your artwork, and will be a follower.
