Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for my new interior and kitchen design business, which includes a design blog. The logo will be used for business cards, branding on the website / blog, stationary, etc.
My target market are middle class, as such I don't want a design that is too fancy, however being in the design industry I still need the logo to look stylish. I want it to be modern and 'edgy' and relatively simplistic without looking cheap.
I have attached a file with logos that I like and colours that I am interested in, but I also like monochrome, the logo doesn't have to be coloured.
I don't want anything metallic or that requires embossing as it needs to be cost effective to print.
The words 'Kitchen and / & Interior Design' are able to be part of the concept, but are not necessary.
I am happy to have image as well as text OR just text only. If Image is involved I don't want to see cliches, so please no tape measures, kitchen sinks etc.
