Brief de Design Illustration

Overview
I need a sample 2 page spread illustrated for a Hindi children's book. The book is about a little girl who always wanted a dog but is not able to get one. The book also teaches kids counting from one to ten. Some details about the characters that should be in the design:

Happy, playful and comical

Once the base characters and styles are confirmed I will be posting additional projects or continue to work with the winning designer to create illustrations for the rest of the 24 page book.

I am attaching some example illustrations I like.

• Girl character
• 1. Little Indian girl (5-10 years) old
• 2. Girly - but no Pink
• Dog character
• 1. A dog with abnormally long ears
• 2. Silly demeanor
• The two characters are interacting on the same illustration. In this part of the story the dog is pointing towards a Kulfi (indian ice cream) truck visible on the right. The dog is using its long ears to hear the Kulfi truck sound. This illustration is a 2 page spread for the book (characters on the left and kulfi truck on the right). Note the illustration should say Kulfi (not ice cream).
• Counting illustration
• This part of the story is teaching the kids the number 4 (Chaar in Hindi). The illustration should incorporate 4 similar objects of your choice that make sense in the illustration and are easy to spot (e.g. 4 ice cream cones)
• Formatting
• - Coloring in CMYK
• - Minimum 300dpi
• - Book size will be 8" x 10" (Portrait). So total two page illustration will be 16" x 10". Please incorporate additional .125" on each edge in the illustration for trim. So final size will be 16.25" x 10.25".
• - Please account for 4 lines of text - either all together or split 2 and 2 on the page.
• - Important images (characters, truck, other elements) or text should be at least .375" from the Center or Any Edges (top, bottom, outer edge). NOTE: Text should not overlap the center of the image due to gutter (binding).
