Brief de Design de Logo

I had initially set up a company Aptus Developments with an associate 6 years ago. We have now parted ways and now I am alone and have created a similar named company called Aptus International. For this reason I wish to have my own unique logo. Below the wording from my CV about myself.
I am a highly motivated international development and construction professional with 25 years experience in property development, project and value management and quantity surveying.
A track record of delivering demanding projects from site acquisition to handover, ranging from €1m to €100m. Projects include designer outlet villages, shopping centres, retail parks, hypermarkets, store fit outs, data centres, hotels, offices, hospitals and include both new builds, extensions and refurbishments.
The name Aptus has been created revolving around a "link" between what I can offer and my Clients. I send below my OLD company logo. Perhaps I should steer well clear of a similar logo and have a new bright colourful and completely different logo. I do not want a logo relative to property, construction etc. (house, tools......). Thank you.
