Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for our annual town festival, called "Festival at Mt. Si". This is a family event, so I want to logo to be fun and for it to be somewhat clear about the family thing. Even, possibly putting a family, balloon or something similar in the design. I want the date on it (Aug. 12, 13, 14, 2016). We also have a tag line, year to year. We will use it year to year, so the date and tag line need to be in a format that I can update year to year. This years is "Your Family Fun Tradition"
I would like the font to be "meaty" vs. funky. There needs to be a Mountain in the back ground (I will send examples), but I want the new one to be more stylized. The logo will be used in print advertising, on T-shirts and pint glasses, on a street banner and in social media. So there needs to be consideration about how many colors are used and how it will print in those formats. I would like it readable from a distance and not encased.
I thought about the main font being solid black/ gray with a colored shadow that we could change year to year, but I am not totally attached to that happening. Some of our events include a cherry pie eating contest, a chili cook off, a grand parade, a wife carrying contest, live music and arts and crafts vendors, as well as a great fireworks show (that we are known for- and has been some part of our logo for years). I have included 2 prior logos (which we like, but want something more updated- font- mountain). I also submitted an example of how we have used our logo in print and then a screen shot from the Movie Twin Peaks. We can not rip off their whole look, so be aware of that. The Twin Peaks logo has a good representation of the mountain that I am considering.

Exigences

Doit avoir

• An easy to read "meaty" font that will be quickly readable on a banner over the road AND look nice in print marketing AND on a T-shirt. A Mountain, one with Twin Peaks, like the one I submitted, but not exact; something stylized and fun.

Bien d'avoir

• Fireworks. Cherry pie is something the movie is known for and our town. So maybe pie or the color "cherry red" or kids. Something that says this is a fun, family event.

Ne doit pas comporter

• Too many colors that will make T-shirt and pint glass printing expensive. If there are more than 2-3 colors it will also need to look good with a gray scale.
