We are looking for a simple but effective logo to use on printed literature and as branding when attending exhibitions promoting the town of Skipton in North Yorkshire, UK.
It needs to be clean lined, fresh looking and minimal as far as fonts and any possible icons attached to the logo.
The logo will be used as part of our local brand for our Destination Management Organisation (DMO) - there are examples already out there for such DMOs you may want to research.
We are known for Rich Heritage and Great Shopping - a strapline we would like you to incorporate alongside the logo, but we need to be able to use the logo standalone.
You may also with to include one of our major USPs which is that we are 'The gateway to the Yorkshire Dales'.
We are well known for our castle, outdoor market, canal (Leeds-Liverpool) and textile/wool industry. You may wish to consider this. Please take a look at www.welcometoskipton.com and the current branding in use along with one of our supporters Skipton Town Partnership - it may help point you in the right direction.
COLOUR: We would like red in the logo either predominantly used as the font colour, or any icon used like the one in our I Love (Heart) Skipton brand. This is due to most of our exhibition furniture which is currently red.
The logo will also need to be used as mono on literature some times.
