Brief de Design de Logo

Create a business logo for a professional firm offering land development (servicing land with municipal infrastructures like sewers and building homes on the serviced lots) and civil engineering (municipal infrastructure) services. The company name is mine (Sylvain Viau) and adding (Land Development / Développements Immobiliers) is preferred but not necessary if your design is great without it. Since the company is bilingual (French and English), I would like the French logo with (Développements Immobiliers) and the English one with (Land Development). I would describe the logo as professional, simple, modern, masculine, upmarket and colourful (one or two colours, I will base my decision on the logo and not the choice of colours as I realize I can simply change them).

• I don't like abstract shapes or items that appear to be a logo but have no defined meaning and would shy away from and item or a house as the logo. I did a little research and would like my name to be the logo. I have loaded a couple of examples of ideas. Mixing these ideas could also be great. I'm looking for designers to play with colours, fonts, lines and shapes as seen in, but not limited to, the examples to get something professional, simple but also creative.
