Brief de Design de Logo

Hi!

We are currently looking for a logo to represent our band ”Still Changing”. We would need a applicable typeface for general branding like coverart, web, and backdrops, as well as a icon/logo/emblem using our initials S and C. The latter will be used together with the typeface, as well as for merchandise like stickers, t-shirts, tote-bags etc.

We are open for all suggestions and will try not to interfere too much with the designer’s creativity, but we have some guidelines in the form of who we are and what kind of music we play, which we hope can be helpful.

We look at ourselves as a band who justifies ourselves when we play live shows. We are focused on dynamics and the enjoyment of playing while we are energetic and playful on stage. At the same time we pay close attention to our musical arrangements and the structure of the songs, and nothing is played without a reason. The music itself is mostly based on the underlying philosophy and feelings in a persons average day, and we try to communicate something that anyone in one way or the other can recognize in their own life.

Our music is playful and catchy whilst the lyrics often are deeper and more melancholic than you might assume at the first listen. We think that the logo should be eye-catching and playful at the same time as it must be able to function in the background without drawing too much attention. Colors are great, but the logo must also work in B/W.

We want the logo to give the audience a sense of something interesting but not necessarily something given. As our name says we are in "constant change", so the logo should preferably be able to give different associations depending on who sees it. We want the audience to be able to see the logo and think "I want to listen to this!" and when they hear the music they should see a correlation with the logo.

Genre: Pop/rock (A rhythmic variation with many different influences. Check out "This Time," "Carrie" and "Get you back over" on Spotify/iTunes for a broader understanding.)
