Brief de Design de Logo

I am a hydro-geologist that needs a logo design to improve my brand and marketing. I specialize in groundwater resource management, environmental risk assessment, water security strategy. I work across different industries providing technical assessments and advice around water issues. My clients can be research bodies, NGOs, multi-national corporations, investment banks, and am working with a start-up developing groundwater mapping software. I need to appeal to CEOs and engineers, appear established and reliable, and not too techy and geeky. I am currently based in Australia but work internationally. Petroc is the patron saint of my homeland and also sounds quite geological. I have attached a file with some early ideas.

• see my powerpoint file but also feel free to ignore. I like dark blue as a colour but that may be too obvious so have not stipulated any colour scheme.

• Water images that are too obvious, waves and ripples etc. I do rocks as well as groundwater. Although I work in the environmental and geoscience sphere I'm not a geek or a hippy!
