Hi, and thanks for the question. In terms of logos we like, here are some examples:
Cisco - nice use of the name and visual of the Golden Gate bridge, which carries several meanings
Chipotle - the burrito chain with the use of pepper and the colors
Starbucks - simple text with compelling mermaid pictorial
Timberland - elegant and clean
