Brief de Design Illustration

We need an illustration design for a dive club based on a weedy sea dragon (Phyllopteryx taeniolatus). We are dive club\group originating from Sydney's north beaches.

Would like a "tough" looking illustration\caricature\cartoon of the weedy sea dragon similar in design to what you expect on a WWII bomber or Military patch. It doesn't need to be full dragon can be the face or down to shoulder and arms(flipers).

Attached a example created by one of the club, it's a little too "angry", but gives a idea what we are after.
