Brief de Design de Logo

We need an original logo for a new, independent pizzeria located in a college district. We will serve freshly-made New York style pizza but also a thick-crust pizza that is closer to Detroit style.

The name of the business is PADRINO'S PIZZA. "Padrino" means "Godfather" in Italian, so we initially thought of going with a logo using the font from the "Godfather" movies. The look may be too serious for our demographic, however, so we are open to any and all creative ideas or suggestions.

We will also serve pasta, salad, subs, calzones and wings. We will offer takeout, delivery and take-and-bake options, but a large component of our business will be pizza-by-the-slice.

We are open to color schemes but would like something bold, semi-modern (think "Sbarro") and distinctly Italian.
