Brief de Design de Logo

What we do: UK-based fashion brand focussed on women’s and children’s clothing. Our brand aims to capture the imagination of our customers and needs to instill cuteness, high quality, fun, warmth and happiness in their mindsets.
We are looking for logo designs that can be applicable to a range of product lines (e.g. pyjamas, jumpers, knitwear, bedding, hats, gloves, etc.) and target our chosen consumer segments – girls, women and mothers.

The name of our brand: Captain Panda, was chosen because of the Panda’s cuteness, its association with China (one of our key target consumer markets) and because we want to stand out in the marketplace. A ‘Captain’ is the leader who in charge of direction, course or vision e.g. on a ship, on a plane etc.

We are after a cartoon style panda image combing fun, cool, and cute elements, e.g. a panda on a ship, or at the wheel, or wearing a sailor’s hat and uniform. We are particularly interested in nautical themes. The design needs to be cool, fun and a visually cute cartoon panda image. More important, it must be unique and not look anything like the trademarked WWF Panda logo. We aim to trademark our logo in the future, so it may require “Captain Panda” to be a part of the design, or be implied.

Regarding colour, we would like a design that can be used with all kinds of products, so the main colour matching needs to be simple. We would ideally like a dash of colour on the sailor’s hat, uniform, or wheel, ship, etc. (in blue, red, and/or brown) to make the whole design fun and bring it to life.

We have attached some simple concepts that we like, that we are hoping designers can improve upon. They show the general direction we want this project to take. Please utilise your creativity and have freedom within your ideas. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
