Sherpa Broadband, Inc.
Project Description
Seeking logo which would include the color palette for Sherpa Broadband Inc.
Company Name
Sherpa Broadband is a US based telecommunications company specializing in designing, building, and operating broadband networks.
Also, we chose the name Sherpa Broadband for two primary reasons:
1. "Sherpa" gives a feeling of strength, that they guide their customers through the most difficult of times, that they are there when their customers need them, that they live the same value system as what we have defined above. As defined under Wikipedia:
The term Sherpa is used to refer to local people, typically men, who are employed as guides for mountaineering expeditions in the Himalayas, particularly Mt. Everest. They are highly regarded as elite mountaineers and experts in their local terrain.
2. The business we are in is broadband telecommunications.
By marrying the two names, we get a first name that supports our value system and a second name that is descriptive of the types of products we offer.
Company Value System
An important aspect of Sherpa is the value system we live by. It includes the following:

- Integrity and Honesty
- Focused on Efficiency
- Celebrating Successes
These are the core values that each employee of Sherpa must live by and are the guiding principles how we make decisions. Out value system will be an integral part of our brand - how our customers think of us.
Sherpa Broadband Products
We make difficult broadband telecommunication connections easy and offer two primary products;
1. Wide Area Networks. We connect our customer sites together with a private network. We use either wireless or fiber connectivity depending upon customer specific requirements.
2. Voice over IP. We deliver phone system and services to the specific needs of each and every customer.
Sherpa Broadband Customers
Our target customer base is primarily United States based governmental entities including emergency services organizations, as well as telecommunications carriers or other similarly situated entities. We serve all levels of government from local to state to federal. Our target buyer is primarily the entity's head technologist, but also institutional governing boards are involved in the buying cycle.
Key Differentiators
Much of our target customers have a need for the following key differentiators:
1. Best in class customer service.
2. Highly reliable networks that approach 100% reliability even in the time of disaster such as a hurricane of flood.
3. Unparalleled expertise in what we do, as we make the difficult broadband telecommunications connections easy
4. Wireless is our core strength as we build wireless networks better than anyone else
The sense that we want to give with our overall brand is that the Sherpa Guides (our people) are experts at what we do, in particular wireless technology, we deliver customer service better than anyone else, that we guide our customers through every step of the process, and we (our services and our people) are always there.
Creative Guidance
Color Palette:
1. No color palette has been decided upon. This project will define our color pallet for us. This pallet should be appealing to the target customer base described above.
2. Should have one base color that would allow for single color printing jobs, such as business cards or letterhead, with other supportive colors that could be used for brochures and other collateral. The color palette should look good on white.
The Sherpa Broadband Logo:
1. We are open to incorporating the "Sherpa" name into the logo graphic however this is not necessary and is left up to your creativity. Regardless, "Sherpa Broadband, Inc." should be included such as below the logo design.
2. The theme should support the name Sherpa, but also can support wireless technologies as part of the theme.
3. Since celebrating success is part of our value system, a sense of professional fun can be incorporated into the design but this must be balanced with the fact that we are also serving emergency services agencies so there has to be a serious tone to the fun.
4. The logo should show a sense of strength and capabilities.

Our selection committee has narrowed it down to a few finalists and we are communicating directly with the designers on requested changes so that we can finalize our selection. Once this process is complete we will issue final results and awards.
