Brief de Design Graphique

Young Engineers Western Australia (‘YEWA’) exists to coordinate professional development and networking opportunities for the ~9,500 Young Engineer members of Engineers Australia residing in the state of Western Australia. We require a design for a new pull-up banner, similar to all of those exemplified by http://goo.gl/DKOKo .

The intended use of the banner is for display at Young Engineers WA events. It should be able to act a signpost for people to identify the event from a distance (e.g.: from distance in a large conference room), and appear welcoming. It should also be able to be used as a generic banner (e.g.: for placement behind a speaker at a conference), and so should not be situation-specific (e.g.: contain “event here” or similar, which would be out of place in the example given above). Events at which it will be seen include technical conferences, after-work drinks, quiz nights, sports days, balls, and others.

  • Comply in all ways to the specifications noted in the attached document “artwork specs 850_1000mm lite_1.pdf”.
  
  • Consider incorporation of “Engineers Australia corporate logo red”, namely:
  o CMYK: (C:5, M:93, Y:97, K:1)
  o RGB: (R:230, G:0, B:0)
  o Pantone colour match is 485
  
  • As we are alternately referred to as YEWA or YEAWA within the organisation, no reference to either acronym should be included in the design. ‘Young Engineers WA’ is acceptable if required.
  
  • Consider incorporation of the YEWA logo, attached as two eps files “EA_YEWA_WA*.eps”, however this logo is not required. It is also not inviolate and designers can alter it if required.
