Brief de Design Wordpress

Our are starting a new technology services company. We will provide services in software implementation and business intelligence.

We need a beautiful Wordpress web site design. We need a design for the homepage, and one interior content page.

The site must have a very professional and polished look and feel. What I have suggested below are things that I think work, but I am not a designer and I am open to your professional opinions. Please be willing to use your best judgment.

The homepage should have the following elements:
- A Header Area that includes:
o The company logo, and
o navigation (consistent with the interior page)
o a social media link section that includes rss feeds, youtube, facebook, linkedin and tweets
- A Body that includes:
o A slider
o An area that features up to six of the most recent or important posts including a thumbnail and small picture, a title, and a short excerpt for each.
o An area for around 100 words of text and an image
- A footer that includes:
o The company logo
o Contact information

The interior page is relatively simple. It should include the same navigation element as the homepage, and accommodate a one column text layout.

The current site …
You can visit the current site at www.jtadamsidea.com I built the current site using the “Crumina One Touch” premium theme. If you visit this site you get a sense of some of the things I am talking about, but there are things that I do not like about the current site. Here’s what I like and what I don’t like.

What I like about the current site:
- It is reactive – it adapts to the size of the viewing browser
- It has a “metro” feel to it. The company will have an association with Microsoft and having a “metro” theme is a plus, but not a requirement.
- It is different without being hard to navigate – the site the slider is from the “slider revolution widget”, the posts are represented with tiles and rearrange themselves when a topic is selected.

What I don’t like:
- The site lacks a cohesive feel – it feels to me like a bunch of different elements without a single theme that pulls everything together.
- It is not aesthetically appealing to me.
- The tiles in the post section are too big.
- I don’t like the white background – I would prefer a background color and ideally a background that somehow incorporates the graphic in the logo.

About themes
As I said, I used a Crumina theme in my design. I will be happy to continue using this theme, or would be willing to buy a new premium theme, so long as the cost is less than $100 U.S.
