I need a logo design for a dating coaching business called "GPLifestyle" - "GP" stands for "Gentleman's Playground". Although "GPLifestyle" is the key word here, your design needs to bring out the word “gentleman”. Specifically, the online viewer needs to be drawn in, that is, the design entices him to make an action because he wants to become this new age gentleman.
My key product is series of 13 modules (aka eBooks/guide) that starts from defining what you want to achieve in your dating to being in a situation where you’re an efficient dater – “efficient” could mean maximizing enjoyment with your dates or being able to date multiple women at the same time. These eBooks will include everything you need to know, that is, there’s no need to jump from source to source looking for the best advice.
Now there’s a lot of competition out there – EVERYONE is offering advice in some form or another. At the same time, there’s a negative preconception around so-called PUAs (pickup artists) – perhaps this has to do with how this niche industry portrays its services. Have a look at http://www.lovesystems.com/ and http://www.attractwomen.com.au/. Don’t get me wrong, these guys are probably successful in their own right – I just don’t want their style incorporated in the design of my logo.
In addition to driving home my key value proposition in which I’ll soon mention, you need to flip these negative preconceptions of the industry. Perhaps I'm asking too much - it's no easy task but I’m sure you’re up for the challenge.
So how is GPLifestyle different or what is its key value proposition? Apologies to sound blunt but even though the end-goal for a lot of guys out there is to get laid, there’s more to life than just this – these eBooks will reflect this.
MUST HAVE:
Overall, the design has to be multi-purpose for use across different mediums.
Please see below:
1. Image, "GPLifestyle" and tagline [Tagline under logo]
2. Image, "GPLifestyle" and tagline [Tagline next to logo]
3. Image, "GPLifestyle" and tagline [Tagline under logo – transparent background]
4. Image, "GPLifestyle" and tagline [Text next to logo – transparent background]
5. Image and "GPLifestyle" [optimised for use on Twitter]
6. Image and "GPLifestyle" [optimised for use on Facebook]
Taglines:
I’m happy for you to decide on which one you want to use.
The below are quite long but they capture the essence of “GPLifestyle”
a) For the man who wants to take it to the next level
b) Elevating you to the next level
I suppose I have a preference for a) but it is quite long.
Notes:
As you can see there are three components to this:
[1] Image
[2] Name
[3] Tagline
All three are a must but I do understand [3] may be tricky due to the length of the tagline. I’m happy to see variations and I'll take your advice.
NICE TO HAVE:
From an image point of view, just think "new age Gentleman". Like I previously mentioned, you've got free rein - understanding the task description is key. The bulk of my requirements are in "Task description".
SHOULD NOT HAVE:
Please see attachments.
This was a previous logo that didn't go down well - perhaps it had more to do with the name "GentlemanPlayer". Although the tagline may be the same, the new logo needs to be completely different from this.
As per "Task description", have a look at www.lovesystems.com/ and www.attractwomen.com.au/. Don’t get me wrong, these guys are probably successful in their own right – I just don’t want their style incorporated in the design of my logo.
Overall, no reference to "The Game" by Neil Strauss is to be made i.e. in terms of styling, colours, images, etc.
Marché(s) Cible(s)
Just think of the guy on the street, in the club, in a bar, in a lift, or in the supermarket aisle – he could be a student, a white-collar worker, a tradie, or a divorcee – who sees this pretty woman but has no idea what to do – he wants to appear confident but not come out as jerk. This is my target market.
