Brief de Design de Logo

I'd like a logo for this fun social event. We have a Hifi shop, and like to sit around and listen to music with like minded people. This event is going to be kinda formalised into a music version of petchakutcha, with some great music curators sharing with us a dozen of their favourite tunes, and telling us about where they found them, and stuff like that. This logo will be a sort of calling card for these gatherings, should connect with music from folk, to house to hiphop, and have a slightly shabby oldschool vibe and a whiff of vinyl nostalgia. Need two versions, one with 'Frankton', one with 'Ponsonby'. A little like the two files attached....
