Design of a logo that would be suitable for the branding of a wide range of merchandise from apparel to perfume to coffee cups. The idea is to have the design evoke a lifestyle consistent with the chosen name of the company, "Coal Blooded Diva". The products would be exclusively marketed for women. The logo would, ideally, be unique in concept and not a derivative of existing designs. The logo should incorporate images of a female or two females and seek to project images of independence, confidence, sophistication and elegance with just a dash of "redneck" thrown in. The images selected should reflect the coal mining industry and the region it has represented for decades. Some research would be required if one is not familiar with the industry, but conventional symbols are a pick and shovel, hard hats, lighting devices to illuminate the dark underground areas where mining takes place, mountains and the equipment used to mine and transport the coal, just for example.
"Coal blooded diva" as a name is intended to play off of the axiom "cold blooded" but the image has to be totally opposite of the latter phrase's meaning. We typically use "cold blooded" to mean without emotion or pity. Obviously, that is not the image intended with "coal blooded" which is meant to create feelings of pride and honor for the women who purchase or use the products and, hopefully, turn it into a lifestyle brand.
