Brief de Design de Logo

We are looking for a new logo for our company Mind the GAAP. The existing logo has been in place since we started up in 2002, and I'd like something fresher and more professional looking to take us into the next decade.

The logo would be used on our web site (www.mindthegaap.com), our stationary, and branded presentations.

Mind the GAAP has two primary service offerings. First, we deliver truly innovative corporate training on accounting related topics. We also provide consulting services in which we assist companies in identifying and appplying the right accounting rules for a given transaction. More information on our service offerings can be found on the aforementioned web site.

Some things about Mind the GAAP that make us different:
1. We are a small boutique shop, but very well respected in the
accounting profesison for our objectivity and "straight talk".
2. Our training style is really fun and engaging. We often train
by organizing contests where participants compete for prizes
or recognition. At the same time, they learn a great deal
about the topic at hand.
3. We refer to our existing logo as "the walking man". It's
abstract, but the point we'd tried to make with it is that our
firm can help companies avoid missteps, and bridge the gaps
in their technical knowledge. It would be nice, but not
essential, to incorporate the walking man into any new design
since it's been a part of our branding since inception.

We'd like to use maroon/black color schemes for the logo since these will fit in well with our web site design, but we'd be open to other colors too if they work with our web pages.
