Brief de Design de Logo

I need a new, fresh, timeless logo for my handmade Aromatherapy products (face and body creams, massage oils and perfumes, soap, room fragrance, bath/shower products) . It needs to look good against a light silver/grey background.
I make products for men, women and children so it must be generic. They are in the mid price range so affordable to most people. I'm looking for something simple but at the same time something that stands out on the shelf. Nothing too old fashioned but something that incorporates plants.
The problem with my current logo is that it does not look sharp enough or professional enough (I made it myself!) to move my business onto the next phase. It's also too feminine.
I'm thinking I will use black for the colour. I've attached a sketch of my current idea and vision but I am open to other ideas. I know from experience of using Design Crowd that sometimes someone offers their idea which is different from my brief and it is brilliant!
