Brief de Web Design

We need a web site design for our music marketing company. We provide musicians, artists, rappers, records labels a way to help them market an promote there music.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE DASHBOARD PAGE, BUT IF YOU HAVE TIME and WANT TO SHOW US A CONCEPT FOR THIS HOME PAGE. PLEASE DO (see home.jpg)


This site will will allow artists to register, upload their music, create a profile and then promote their music across our various mobile and social properties.

Here is the bootstrap theme we are planning to use. This page is something like what the artists should see when they login

Here are some examples of sites we like (look and feel):

www.spotify.com (music site, edgy, dark colors, great consumer site for music)
itunes.com (clean design, easy to get around)
soundcloud.com (leading artists upload site)
acorns.com (great navigation and site leads the user to an end point --> invest money)

I would like to see your design skills to make this theme. I have uploaded the homepage and the logged in page. Remember this is a responsive site, so the webpage should be designed with that intention.

I have provide files (wireframes) to give you direction on some possibilities for the design you are creating.

dashboard.jpg - this page is what the artists will see when he logs in. the homepage is very simple so this is not something that I will ask you do design now.

History
Here is some history about our business:
1. Founded in 2002
2. Our last site was more of a social marketing site that registered about 20,000 artists
3. That site didn't make any money and it was costly to maintain
4. Artists registered for free and not many signed up for our premium services
5. We offered a lot of different services and weren't really good at anyone thing for artists.

Its because of this that we shut the site down and decided to redesign it

Next Steps
A. Design Build a better website
B. Have the website that sells 1 or 2 things, and do that better than any other site
C. Focus on registering artists, offering them services that they want, and make it easy for them to find these services once they are in our site.
