Brief de Design de T-shirt

I have recently started a T-Shirt brand called Iconic Cloth, the theme of the brand is high quality cotton T-Shirts that feature exclusively-commissioned motorsport artwork!

All designs will feature iconic vehicles and drivers from motorsport history, but with a twist.

I already have had a design commissioned and shirts manufactured, featuring a vinyl sticker artist's rendition of the Audi S1 pikes peak car. After seeing the design on the shirt in the flesh, I realised that the artistic medium doesn't transform very well to clothing, so rather than pay a huge commission fee, I will use graphic designers to create designs in a medium that can transfer directly to the screen printers.

So, I want to design a range with your help! The brief is simple:- T-Shirts will feature the main colours of the car/bike it is representing, in the form of vertical stripes down the full length of the T-Shirt and passing over the left breast of the wearer. The thickness of each line will correspond roughly to the relative amount of colour of the car's livery.

The only other graphic detail will be a plate over the breast itself, over the stripes that will feature the car's famous number.

The design I want created for this project is Nigel Mansell's famous "red 5" Williams F1 cars. Please refer to the attached photo.

The stripes will need to include the blue, red, yellow and white of the car and the number "plate" on the breast will need to be the same as the distinctive number 5 on the car, with a white outline on a blue background.

I will leave any further subtle design features to you, but the design relies on bold, simplistic lines and colours.
The colours need to match exactly for the the design to maintain its distinctive aesthetic and be recognisable.

• The colours must match the colours of the vehicle exactly - I will consider using pastel shades of the colours if they look representative enough of the original colours and bring something to the piece.
• The style of the red number 5 used in the breast detail must also match exactly to that used on Mansell's car.
• The stripes must continue above the breast detail to the shoulder as well.

• Prefer a circular or eliptical number background on the breast section of the design.
• Keep the motorsport design theme in your mind at all times and create accordingly.
• Perhaps a subtle white or black detail between the stripes to help separate them.
• I intend to have many different designs based on the winning theme from many different areas of motorsport so it would be nice to encorporate a subtle graphic to indicate which area the design belongs. So for this one, as it is F1, perhaps a nice subtle sweeping graphic to suggest the top profile of an F1 car somewhere on the design too?
