Design Brief for Logo of Mini Treats

This design brief is to aid the designers to design a logo for Mini Treats. We expect that the information herein will help the designer exceed my expectations.

My business

I run a home based business that creates delicious deserts for my customers. I make cheesecakes, cupcakes, cake pops, brownies, tarts. I am an Emirati entrepreneur who lives and work in Sharjah, one of the Emirates (city) in United Arab Emirates (UAE). I wanted to do something other than my regular activities. That is when I thought of making something sweet for others. Who doesn’t like to have something sweet? It changes you mood, bring happiness in you. I naturally love cooking and get happy on seeing my family together, eating my food and enjoying it.

I started this business in a very small way in the year 2009 and was personally doing all the activities by myself. When there was good response to my business, I took the help of few more hands from my family to manage the inflow of orders. I have a driver who delivers these deserts to my customers using a car fixed with coolers.

My goals

Basically I want to be successful in whatever I do. Starting from basic home activities to the complicated making of deserts, I want to enjoy sustained success. The goal I have for my business is to make it international. I want people from other countries to enjoy my creations and appreciate it. One day, Mini Treats may have franchises like McDonalds and Starbucks. I want to be a proud person overseeing this growth. I will especially be proud to build a UAE based brand; I want to contribute to my country in the form of mass visibility and what Emiratis can offer to this world.

Firstly I want to turn my home based business to a shop. Then I want to offer more products from that shop, like cakes, pastries, ect., I also have thought of making sandwich but not sure for now. I believe I can make very quality, tasty and healthy food products.

There are so many businesses that are into food making. But I am and want to continue to be different from them. The difference I want to bring to the table is very high quality, consistency, innovation and the homeliness aspect - that is missing or gets faded when business like mine expand.


My customers

To put it simple, any body who want to treat themselves with a sweet. Currently, most of my customers are UAE nationals. I get orders from all the seven emirates in UAE. I want to expand my customer base and want to offer various types of customer, the quality products I make.

Logo specifications

I want my logo to have a flavor that is adaptive enough for a larger audience (men, women, aged, youths and kids) that communicates the kind of products I make, the high quality, consistency, innovation and the homeliness aspects.

I am going to use the logo in my website, in social media context, in business cards, in brochures, in packing materials, in my delivery car, and in my products. Therefore I want the size of the logo to be adaptive to all the mediums of communication.

In my mind, I would like to use Pastel kind of colors and brown for the fond. I am not a designer, so I may be wrong. You can suggest. I have slogan too and it should be included on the design “Addiction is not always bad”
