Brief de Design de Logo
The Irish Green Building Council is a new member organisation committed to mainstreaming green building in Ireland. We need a logo for this organisation that is clear, memorable, and easy to use.

The vision of the Irish Green Building Council is to provide a framework and leadership to accelerate the transformation of the built environment, industry and supply chain to one that is sustainable based on accepted scientific principles of sustainability (based on the Natural Step).
To achieve this vision, as a non-profit, non-partisan council, the Irish Green Building Council brings together business, professional, academic, voluntary, environmental, and state organizations and individuals to develop tools and resources for the built environment from a whole systems perspective including planning, transport, construction, materials, food and fuel security, energy and community.

- A natural element could be nice, but needs to also reflect the built environment.
Including specifically Irish elements is something we would like designers to consider - while we don't want to be stereotypical, this is a national Irish organisation and the logo could reflect that. However avoid shamrocks and any other oirish cliches, unless they are very clever and contempory.
Consider the principles for sustainabilty in the biosphere, closed loop industrial or organic cycles, eg crade to cradle. Modern and contempoary.
2 colour would be good, with a one colour/BW option.
We also welcome Irish designers to participate!

- We don't want to mimic the other GBCs - avoid the standard look of a leaf in a shield or crest, eg USGBC.
Also try to keep away from just a green logo. Avoid obvious references like shamrocks or harps unless done in a very modern comtempoary way.
