Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo design for my home-based businesses in Whitehorse Yukon (Canada). I use the common name "Yutopia" for both businesses and I'm looking for a common logo that will suit both or have a single element that could change in the logo to reflect each business.

One business is called "Yutopia Urban Inn" and is a bright, modern colourful space. Our clients, from all over the world, come here for outdoor adventures or for work. The building is tall, skinny and teal-coloured which could be used as an element in the logo. Our clients love the bright colours, the sun-filled rooms and modern, relaxed feel and flow of the space.

The other business is called "Yutopia Wears" and is a fledgling clothing design/sewing company ( so a play on the word 'wares'). I design and sew casual, fun, active clothing mainly for women and girls (but have a few specialized products like the Yukon Man Skirt). I use earthy and bright prints and sew with linens, organic cottons (all weights) and active fabrics. I tend to market to 'Moms and Daughters' so an element in the logo could be a line sketch of a Mom & daughter holding hands or something like that.

Yukon is known for the midnight sun/northern lights, mountains. It is WILD out the back door and 'town' out the front... more bears than people kind of place but with lots of modern amenities.

I want both businesses to evoke colour, light and joy -- the Inn space and clothes make you feel relaxed, peaceful and happy.

I like the idea of building the logo elements into 'yutopia' (see example attached ... sorry I can't draw!!). The "t" could become a tree or the tall skinny shape of Yutopia Urban Inn. The "o" could become a sun (somehow fits with yutopia). The "u" could become mother & daughter holding hands. etc...

The logo can be for Yutopia only but "wears" and "urban inn" need to be flow into it somehow. Or the logo can include "wears" and then "urban inn".

The logo will be used for business cards, letterhead, note paper, sign on the Inn and clothing tags -- so multiple sizes.

• I added a teal coloured house -- looks a little like Yutopia Urban Inn; I added a sketch I like of a Mom & daughter holding hands; and the "Birch Organics" logo that I really like -- fun, clean and happy.
