Brief de Web Design

We are looking for designs for a homepage for a gluten free, health food website.

We are looking for the site to be a shop, as well as a resource/information source for users. We will also look to incorporate recipes, blogs, forums and potentially some other useful information.

We want to ensure that the website is user-friendly, does not have a corporate feel, but is still classy.

We want to have high quality photographic images in the background, with text in the foreground - but these things will need to compliment each other well. e.g recipe of the week integrated onto the background photo and the 'shop' in the foreground.

We have seen a site that we quite like and although we like the design, we do not want to completely emulate this. However, it is a useful starting point for designers and perhaps some inspiration www.wholefoodsmarket.com

We already have a logo - see attached - which will need to be fully integrated into the design.

We do want a colourful design, but mainly in terms of the images rather than the graphics.

Please note:


We are pleased with the designs to date, for the most part. We would like you all to note, however, that we are much preferring the lighter designs - ones that make the sites feel brighter - rather than those which are darker in appearance.

We would also like to see less space allocated to the main image, within the context of the site as a whole.

We have eliminated those which we feel are not what we are looking for. We are still keen to see some more designs and are still looking for something unique. There are some good things in all of the designs that we have not eliminated, however we still feel there is room for more inspiration.
