Brief de Design de Logo

We need a fresh new logo design for our record label 'Bone Idle Records'. We release underground genres of house to a mostly 20 something listening crowd and our music is sold on all the major download stores and played out at festivals and clubs round the world. Our current logo was hashed up for our launch, as we are now growing and becoming more popular, we feel we should rebrand to show we have a cool, recognisable logo people will get to know us for.

We like the idea of the logo representing the name 'Bone Idle Records', but we are very open to creative twists to get something unique - you do not have to have bones in the design (as in - its not a requirement!). The logo will be resized quite small for album artwork so this needs to be taken into consideration as we still want it to be something people can recognise at a glance without having to read the text to figure out who we are. Most of the websites we promote on let us upload our logos for our pages (like soundcloud and facebook) and these end up being square in shape, so it should be something that will fit nicely in a record cover shape. We already have a website, but as long as the logo can be provided with a transparent background then this should fit in with what we have. The current website colours are not a requirement for the logo as that can be changed.

Colour wise, we are again very open. We are not afraid of loud bold colours, and we dont mind black and white either.

We would liken ourselves to Dim Mak Records and Ed Banger Records with regards to our listening crowd and who we are behind the label. We are based in London(UK), think skinny jeans, hoxton/shoreditch haircuts, converse, hip crowd...thats us.

The abbreviation BIR can be used in the logo but as long as the text 'Bone Idle Records' is used as floating text around under or above the actual logo. This would give us the flexibility to seperate the logo from the text to use on merchandise.
