How close to the current wireframes/images do you need to layout to be? for instance, if you continue to use the standard ListView and TabBAr objects supplied by Xcode, the amount of customization is very limited. It is of course possible to create your own bespoke UI lists, menus and so forth, but it's just a matter of whether your programmers are up to the task.

The programmer is very experienced so feel free to come up with a very customized tab bar or something better. You are also free to design more complex list entries or come up with something better than a list, e.g. split up the menu into several pages, one for each day, which can be slided (just an idea) or anything else you can imagine. However, the data is very diverse, so it can happen that in one dining hall there is only one meal per day available but in another dining hall there are 10 or more meals per day.
