Brief de Design de Logo

I need a brand identity and logo design for my personal tattoo make-up business that I am setting up in London.

The name of my business is ‘Parisa Permanent Cosmetics’. Essentially, I would like Parisa Permanent Cosmetics in whatever form looks the best. I have attached one of my favourite logo designs from someone else who runs a business like mine for your reference (File 9). Similar to this example, the identity should comprise of three elements.

This identity will be seen on the internet in the vast majority of cases. I almost definitely will be getting a website in the distant future if this goes well. Most of my marketing/advertising will be done using social media (in particular Facebook & instagram). I will be creating a website so will need something that can work on screen. It is likely I will need to print business cards too.

A copy of this brief is in the attached files. Please also read the ‘brand plan & background info’ document as useful context so you understand more about my business.

Finally, as a relatively new industry, I need people to know what it is I do when they see my brand so I would like the words 'permanent cosmetics’ to appear in the identity. This should be informative and clear but not detract from the overall design. In terms of hierarchy, I’m thinking my name and the icon are the main part of the design and 'permanent cosmetics' as secondary information would work best.

My business helps women look the best they can by enhancement of either eyeliner, eyebrows or lip colour with semi-permanent cosmetic treatments. A finished treatment has to be done in 2-3 stages with 6 week intervals. So I get to see the client again. They also need to come back once a year or once every 18 months for a top up to keep the design as we wanted. It is a premium treatment/service. The people I need this to appeal to are women that want to make the most of themselves. The vast majority of these are wealthy women. it is a high-end procedure and isn’t cheap. In London that can be any age group. I’m targeting women that want perfection and women that want a high-quality service (one that does not want to get this service from Groupon, I don’t want that type of client). I want women who have an eye for detail, appreciate high quality and are critical of looks.

• In your submissions please show me the identity all together (name, icon & words) and the icon in isolation.
• Firstly, I would like it to contain my name. This is quite distinct and how my clients will know me. This should be prominent in the identity.
• Secondly I need a brand mark/icon that works in conjunction with my name. This will be something visual to help identify my brand/business. This could be my initial ‘P’ presented in a visually arresting way or some form of iconography that is inspired by what I do or where I come from (see below for information). I would like this to be able to work in isolation too so that I have a brand mark that I can use in communications and other collateral where I don’t need/want to show the full logo.
• In your submissions please show me the identity all together (name, icon & words) and the icon in isolation.
• Overall, I would like my identity/logo to portray everything that the example logo I attached does. Modern, clean, intelligent, professional, refined, quality, sophisticated and I’d like people who see it to feel like we can work together so it should feel a warmth and approachability from it.
• I think a colour palette based around brown/hazel/copper/bronze/gold/rose gold are good colours to work with as it states everything I want to portray. They’re also the main kinds of colours you see in make-up and the pigments I use in my treatments.
• Stylistically, I would like it all to flow like the one I’ve attached. Eyebrows, lips, eyeliner - they are all things that should have nice flowing lines, no sharp edges, very natural and smooth. Feel free to explore designs that; include photography, are typographically led, are graphically led.

• Please ignore my. Last brief on Persian calligraphy. Having seen a few designs I can see that it doesn't really work with the image I want to convey. I think it's nice to use the designs as I inspiration for shapes. But using it as words doesn't really work.

• It must not be; too childish, cheap, cartoony, girly, flat, too obvious (e.g. eyes/eyebrows), too colourful (e.g. not too many bright colours)
