Brief de Web Design

Hello Designers,

Thank you for wanting to participate in designing a web design.
First off let me introduce ourselves, we are a precious metals refinery that is base in the west coast. Our Name is Accurate Precious Metals Refinery. Our sole goal for this website is simplicity yet cleanliness and elegance. We want to demonstrate the process and procedures of what we do and who we are.

The Lay out:
We want about 4-5 Tabs that will help guide our customers through our website with ease. Some ideas of what we want to call the tabs might be….
1. Home
- This tab will take them to the home page

2. Contact Us
- Our contact information
- Client contact form
- Some sort of membership form?

3. Pick-up Service
- This tab will explain how this process works and what it in tells.
- This page will also have a section for requirements.
- This pickup service will only be available for members and people that have a good account with us.

4. How it Works
- This page will explain who we are and how we work.
- I would like to somehow creatively show the process and the steps we take in melting their gold.

Effects:

An effect that I would want to see is a live precious metal stock price. This price will automatically update and post the most recent and current price on the market of what the gold, silver etc prices. Here is a link of a company that has something similar, http://pmrs-refining.com/ what I like about this spot price pop up, is that it follows them all over the page. I like that idea.

I would also like some sort of slide show that has videos and demonstrations of our company and business.

What we like about this website is the tab that says “Request Pick-up” With a form that they have to fill out. We would want more than just a form; we would want some sort of membership application.

What I like about this website is the slideshow. It’s very simple yet professional. This is something that I would like to incorporate into our website. I also like the live metal market price.

This is another example of a website that has a live spot price of the gold market. I like how the gold price follows you around the page. I would like to see some of your ideas with this.

This website is very clean and simple. I like the colors. I would like a little more character than what they have but I like the simplicity.


The colors we like are black, white, silver, gold, Royal Blue etc; basically anything that creates a clean atmosphere. These colors match our logo and also have a very elegant and professional perception to them. Please do not limit yourselves to only our suggestions

Hello Designers,

We are going to change the structure and idea of what wewant the web design to be. We are going to merge two companies into one websiteand basically we want to incorporate each company’s benefits into one website.

We basically want to combine a Gold/Silver coin and barselling side of the website and still combine the refining side of the company.If you look at the website link I put you will understand kind of what we arelooking for.

WE want our website to have similar features and feel tothese websites. We want a product listing of Gold and Silver coins and barslisting. This is not an ecommerce website because we will not allow onlinetransactions. But we want our clients to be able to use the website to compareprices and contact us. But we want the website to have the same feel of acorporate, professional, modern, clean, and simple.

Also click on the tabthat says “scrap Calculator” I like this idea and would like to have a page forthis feature. With the scrap calculator feature, can we make it that onlymembers that have log-in codes can access this feature?

I would like to see all ideas of what the pages would looklike and the main page. 

So Basically we want a product listing/informational website.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Hello Designers, I am very sorry for the delay. We have been very busy here at the corporate headquarters. We have been working on getting content and the proper details fixed for the website to go in the direction we want. We have add $100 to the price for the 1st place winner. Hello Designers,

Ok here are links that we want for the page called "How it works" 

This page we want to have 3 separate over "steps" but within each step there will be minor steps that will describe what it is we do within each major step. The first step is called "Verification" this step entails the process of weighing the metals infront of the clients and making sure they are ok with our prices and we come to an agreement. the Second step is call "Melting", here we describe how we melt and what we do. the third and final step is call "Assaying and Invoicing" this is where we test the purity of the metals and then invoice the metals to pay the client. 

I have put together content that will explain each process. Within the sentences i have add the words (example, Pic #1) this basically means that i want the picture that is saved with the name "Pic #1" in that area of the sentence. 

But please don't just stick to my order of the content, be creative and use your designs according to what you feel will fit your style of the website.

With the pictures that are numbered 24 and 25 can you please crop the logos of the machines out of the pictures.

Hello Designers,

I have posted updates for you all to make changes. I am not sure if it was understandable. The dead line for this project is 27th of June and we are getting close to the end. We need to see who is going to really make an effort to work with us and if we like the updated changes. We have a lot more ideas for our website. After the winner is selected we will then work with that designer and add more effects and ideas to the website. But we need time to fairly decided which design we like; so if you all can get some updated designs to us as soon as possible we would greatly appreciate it.
