Brief de Design de Logo

Our firm is seeking to upgrade our logo as it has been some time since we did when we started the firm. We are in process to redeveloping a new web site so want to take the launch with a new look.No real fixed ideas other then no guns or blades as it set the wrong image. Our firm operates a armed security services for cash in transit service primarily. we offer a discreet covert armed CIT service for our customers. We do all means of security but no patrols or investigations services. To give an idea we are looking towards something strong and bold but modern as well. Not to much colours. We have attached our current logo but are happy to make a complete change if we see the right one. We don't have to have a shield as a symbol will work just as well. We want to have a more clean, simple, uncluttered professional look. We don't want any Pad locks or combination locks. We are open to new ideas and symbols that represent what we do so feel free to explore options.
Contemporary look to or like the BP fuel logo that stands out for an example.
