Brief de Design de Logo
We need a logo design for an annual fall festival held on the premises of Bauman Farms located in Gervais, Oregon. This festival, now in it's 30th year, is geared towards families with kids and adults that just want to have a fun time celebrating the fall harvest season. It is one of the largest fall festivals in the Pacific Northwest and the largest in Oregon. Attractions include pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hay rides, giant pumpkin weigh-offs, musical performances, food and drink outlets and much more. The festival runs during the whole month of October...ending on Halloween (Oct. 31st). Please note that while there are some elements of Halloween present, the festival is not Halloween-oriented with things like haunted houses....so please no zombies, angry jack-o-lanterns, witches, ghosts, etc in your designs. Pumpkins, happy scare crows etc are acceptable possibilities.
The festival is organized by the Bauman family who owns Bauman Farms. The fall festival is now a separate legal entity from the farm...the main reason why we want a unique logo for it. I will include the logo of the farm as a guidance. The font used in the Bauman's Farm & garden logo is Baskerville. A similar look is not required for the festival but a look that can compliment or associate with the farm's logo is certainly welcomed. Given that this festival takes place in the fall, we would like see designs that take into account colors associated with the season...oranges, green, browns, red. The final design should communicate fun but not be cartoonish. Also, final design should also translate well in all black or all white applications. The logo will be used on things as big as roadside billboards to things as small as entry wristbands.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: The Farm Family and Managers only meets once a week...usually on Wednesday evenings. We met last night and there are a handful designs that are in the running (unless we are wow'ed by a new submission) which will all require some minor tweaks for a final vote. The original deadline, combined with the July 4th holiday weekend doesn't not work for us schedule-wise to meet again. This is the reason for the extension. We are also seriously considering awarding a 2nd place prize as there is one design we really like but that doesn't translate well to some of the uses we plan for it (it's too detailed)

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We have a handful of designs that have made the cut to the final round. The owners/managers of the farm are unable to meet to discuss and pick the winning design until next week Wednesday. We have also decided to award a second place winner as there is a logo we like a lot which we plan on using on shirts & staff uniforms but it doesn't translate well on other applications. Thank you for your patience.

- In addition to what's stated in the project description, the winning logo MUST be easily translated from full color to using only black ink with no gradients. so complex graphics must be easily converted into black only outlines so the logo still makes sense and preserves readability.

- A visual connection with the Bauman Farm & Garden logo. "Harvest Festival" must appear prominently. Please use easy to read fonts.
