Brief de Design Application

Tradies Toolbox is an iPhone app for tradespeople (builders, carpenters, electricians, etc) which provides a range of tools that will assist with typical tasks, such as the calculation of unit conversion and spatial/volumetric/electrical measurements. The application also makes use of instruments available in the smartphone device to provide useful tools such as a spirit level, compass and torch.

The product is a simple menu-based application consisting of a number of menu and function screens. Each menu item will navigate the user to the function screen applicable to that menu item. Each function screen will contain the necessary inputs and features for perform its stated function.

The user interface should be designed with the tradesperson user in mind and as such should be simple, intuitive and durable with respect to its usability, interface design and branding elements.
