Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo design for a small jam and marmalade making venture, called Twodog Jam. ‘Twodog’ refers to Pip and Lilly, two cairn terriers, mother and son (photo attached). Jam names include the dogs names, such as ‘Marma-Lilly’ and Straw-Pippin-berry’. Only small quantities of each jam are made with unique flavour combinations, such as Blackberry and Lavender.
Jam names are traditionally conservative and convey images of ‘homemade’ and ‘country homemaker’. Twodog jams wants a more contemporary approach with colours and brand that appeal to both a younger and older audience, male and female, while still conveying a ‘homemade’ and cottage industry appeal.
Preferably a simple schematic logo that can be readily transferred to collateral ie no drawings of dogs, but something that captures the ‘two dog theme’. We like the simplicity of logos for https://instagram.com/dogsofeurope/ and http://www.fetcher.com.au/.
We would like a logo design that will easily fit on the top of a round jam jar (7cm and 8.5 cm diameter jar lids). The intention is that a logo and design are needed to create jar labels (initially): round labels being placed on the jar lid with two ‘arms’ back and front (for example Meredith Dairy Goat Cheese in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, http://www.meredithdairy.com/allproducts.html).
The final design should communicate taste and quality, with still the handmade touch. Thankyou!
