I need a logo that captures the essence of Christopher Street Marketing (CSM), something much more creative than a rainbow.
Check out the Christopher Street magazine covers from the 1970's and later that are posted within the photos on the facebook page (URL above).
Read further down in this description to understand the importance that Christopher Street played in the modern gay rights revolution that began in 1969.

A Little History :: Christopher Street as Gay Icon
Christopher Street Marketing is proudly named after Christopher Street in New York. In the 1970s, Christopher Street became the "Main Street" of gay New York and the site of the Stonewall Inn, the bar whose patrons started the 1969 Stonewall riots that are widely seen as the birth of the gay liberation movement. The Christopher Street Liberation Day Committee formed to commemorate the first anniversary of that event, the beginning of the international tradition of a late-June event to celebrate gay PRIDE. The annual gay pride festivals in Berlin, Cologne, and other German cities are known as Christopher Street Day or "CSD". Near Sixth Avenue, Christopher Street intersects with a short, winding street, named by a 150-year-old coincidence, Gay Street.
Mises à jour
I've mentioned this in a few of my comments so it's probably best I post it to everyone.
Christopher Street is an actual street. Read the description I posted describing Christopher Street as a gay icon. It's the street on which the modern gay rights revolution began with the Stonewall uprising in 1969.
If there are to be two colos in the name Christopher Street Marketing it makes sense that Christopher Street would share one color and Marketing another. There's no reason to de-emphasize Street by coloring Christopher and Marketing the same.
Also, marketing is a business of concepts. It is best reflected, I believe, with vibrant colors, verve, and risk. This is not a law firm or pharmacy. I know I mentioned upfront that I didn't want a rainbow flag, and I was being literal. I'm not opposed to the six colors that represent the gay pride flag - I just don't want the flag because it lacks creativity and is extremely overused.
Hope this helps. Thanks so much! Adam

Generally, I tend towards a softer font. I dislike Times New Roman and similar 'sharp' fonts.

good evening, designers. this project will soon close! i am fortunate that many creative and thoughful designs have been submitted. i expect that in the next few days more designs will, too, be submitted and that i'll need to consider, ask for minor revisions, and weed through them. but, at this point i've done a great deal of that and the remaining designs are much more worthy than those submitted by your peers. i've asked two CMOs with whom i worked at innovative enterprise software companies and a few others to vote on the remaining designs - i want only their input - the design choice will solely be mine. all of the remaining designs are quite different and creative in their in several different ways.
each of you has done great and quite different work - a testament to the power of crowdsourcing. thank you for your creativity and application. i look forward to clicking on 'choose this design' very soon. cheers! adam

hello designers!
thank you for submitting your creative and imaginative logo designs for christopher street marketing. it's nice to have the design stage of this project come to a close. i've submitted all of the designs that weren't elimnated to many many people through facebook, twitter, email, and linkedin groups. i also asked the students of a marketing and advertising class to vote. their votes and comments are interesting, but mine is the only vote that counts. i expect to make the final decision within five days. thanks again to all - you've proved the efficacy of crowdsourcing.
all the best,
adam

good morning, designers. i am pleased to tell you that i finally choose the design that will respresent Christopher Street Marketing. it is an imaginative, creative, outside-of-the-box, and intellectual design created by KREISI. each element of the design was carefully considered and woven into a logo that cannot be ignored.
i am also indebted to the many designers that created so many creative designs for this project. you have made a believer and advocate for crowdsourcing of me. it has been a delight to work with you.
many thanks and keep creating!
