Brief de Design de Logo

My company is MissionTravel.org - we are an online travel agency that provides discount group and individual airfare to short-term mission groups, churches, students, humanitarians, etc. who serve all across the world.

We are keeping our core business of "Missions" - see existing website - www.missiontravel.org and will keep the same logo (although I'm open to a new font style for the actual words "Mission Travel". I'd like something a little more 'old world/missions" style. http://www.missioninn.com – font of “Mission Inn” is very close to what I envision or blend of it and existing.

The new logo(s) I want for this project need to be closely related to the current logo. In addition to "Missions" we are creating 2 new divisions - a "Vacations" division offering family vacation services to clients. As well as a "Holy Land" division offering travel services for groups to the biblical Holy Lands of Israel and outlining areas.

VACATIONS LOGO - Keep "Mission Travel" words as currently laid out with new icon to the left. "Vacations" word below the "travel" word.
– I like the idea of “Vacations” word standing out from just MT, so that the eye is drawn to that. Whether that font is more of a handwriting/script style (see font of brand name on:www.Disney.com, www.beaches.com) – all very similar to one another and what I’d like to capture for the word “Vacations” on our logo here.
Image/icon concept: let’s lose the building/plane idea altogether. Try to incorporate more of a vacations theme.
Example ideas:
1) pool cabana/tent shape w/ palm trees (or beach chairs) to the side
2) palapa w/ 2 beach chairs


HOLY LAND LOGO - Keep "Mission Travel" words as currently laid out with new icon to the left. "Holy Land" word below the "travel" word.
Replace mission and plane completely. Open to suggestions on style, font and icons here. My thoughts: Stylized Old City Jerusalem landscape or stylized Dome of the Rock, etc.


Ok for both of these to be done in single color or two-color. Vacations logo to be a blue and I'm open to ideas on Holy Land.

Hello designers, and thank you for the submissions thus far.  We think a few of you are on to something, and wanted to do an update to hone the logo ideas.


Original Mission Travel logo - the current icon and single brown color will stay.  The font of both "MISSION" and "TRAVEL" need an update.  "MISSION" needs to have that old world look to it, as originally posted from the logo on www.missioninn.com or see the Bacara Resort logo at www.BacaraResort.com.  Another possibility we would consider is a crisp/fresh looking font, less stylized, like the logo for Las Ventanas al Paraiso Resort (www.lasventanas.com).  We also want something fresher for "TRAVEL", with no jots/tiddles/doodles between letters, and all caps as well.

Vacations & Holyland logos - keep "MISSION" and "TRAVEL" as they are presented from your original MT logo submission.  We are open as to whether "MISSION TRAVEL" should stay brown in the Vacations & Holyland logos as well, so just give us your best design and we can discuss that later. The icon should be in similar stylization, proportion, simplicity as the original, just a different theme.  Something a little whimsical like the original, and don't overcomplicate the icon.  So, while we have seen some nice submissions so far, we are looking for the icons to look like the are from the same family as the original. 
 
Vacations logo - "VACATIONS" font needs to be easy to read.  We're toying with the idea of either a handwritten font (like the one used in the Bermuda logo/tagline at www.gotobermuda.com) or a font that is a little distressed and looks like a stamp, as one would have a stamp in a passport, below "MISSION TRAVEL", tilted and maybe even slightly overlapping the word "TRAVEL" above it.  Keep in mind that the page will have aquas and beachy beiges on it for the color.  We want to be able to read it, but don't want it to look to drab or flat either.

Holyland logo - we want to make a shift away from using the Dome of the Rock in the logo, and toward using an icon that is representative of the Holyland but not so recognizable.  There is an example of a stylized silhouette version of Old Jerusalem on the bottom of the homepage http://tour.jerusalem.muni.il/eng/.  This is something style-wise that we are looking for as an icon for the Holyland logo. Or another of many examples on bar-mitzvah invitations (http://www.invitationconsultants.com/invitation.aspx?p_invitationitem=6BF10519), a depiction you might also see on a Christmas card of the Holy City/Old Jerusalem.
The "HOLYLAND" font should either be exactly the same as for "VACATIONS" or similar in concept (i.e., if the font looks stamped for Vacations, it should likewise for Holyland, but not necessarily the exact font.) We are open to "HOLYLAND" being a stylized font, but again, want a clean overall logo and not too many different things going on, so maybe use a cleaner block font if you choose a stylized "HOLYLAND" font.

We have narrowed the pool down to three designers: wendigox, MemoCo, and eightball inc.  Thank you to the rest of you who have submitted ideas.  I will work with the three of you to hone logos and see what you an come up with by the end of this week to make a final selection.  Great job.
