Brief de Design Emballage
We are looking to re-vamp/re-design our current food packaging. The design will be for an outer box surround for our food which is packed into plastic pots. The meals are fresh and ready to eat. There are 4 variants (recipes) and one design is needed with a background colour change for each recipe. I am looking for a fresh, modern and eye-catching look which stands out on a supermarket shelf. It should be noted that there there is an existing design which needs an overhaul. I would like the winning bidder to look at this together with some other types of packaging I like to improve it.
I have attached a copy of my existing packaging which can also be seen on our company website www.theyumcompany.com. We need to move away from this bitty, wishy washy theme to something brighter and bolder, more modern and innovative like the 'Pot of' example I have also attached. Other points of reference are www.clivespies.co.uk and www.plumbaby.co.uk which are bright and eye-catching. The Clives Pies 'pot of' boxes are a good benchmark for us although we do not want to copy the design.
This project probably needs to incorporate a modified company logo and the budget can be modified to include this.
We also need to use the word 'Yummy' as a sub-header for our meals i.e.

Just wanted to add that for the purpose of this brief, what is required is an outline of the design/packaging incorporating any relevant fonts. Text will be incorporated onto the back and inside of the box after the final design has been decided. Modifications in The Yum Company logo will be taken into consideration when payment is made i.e. there is some flexibility in the budget for the contest winner. Thanks!

Please bear in mind the brief. I must stress that the idea was to move away from the smiley-face vegetables idea which we already had. We don't want to use these again at all - we are looking for a complete re-design, hence this brief.
I have provided examples of what we like and would like to see designs along these lines.
To designers who have not yet submitted, please take note.
