Brief de Design de Logo
I am a clinical psychologist and I have a private therapy practice in the metro area of Kansas City, MO called Allay Behavioral Health. (Allay means to subdue or decrease someone's anxiety/distress. Behavioral Health is another phrase for Mental Health.) I treat anxiety disorders, particularly Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, with approaches that warrant specialized training, but my resident psychologist is a generalist and sees various conditions. We provide therapy only, no medications or psychological testing.
Although I am a specialist, I am looking for a logo that will fit any therapist (I might hire) who treats any condition. So I'm looking for something that will fit a variety of psychologists, but also target a variety of patients. One goal I'd share with any psychologist I work with is to help our patients reach some sort of reduction of symptoms, resolution, personal growth, and/or inner peace.
Looking for a logo that is a bit on the androgynous side so it fits anyone: strong, but inviting and warm. I like modern and my treatment for OCD is somewhat cutting-edge, but I am not opposed to a logo on the traditional side. I'm primarily hoping for a design that is pictorial/combination logo or emblem logo. I am attaching files that are in line with what I am looking for in color, font, image style, etc. (see name of file if possible because each represents a different aspect I like, not necessarily the entire design).
Mises à jour
I've never been a consumer in a design auction like this before and I am very much enjoying your hard work and creativity! It's very impressive and I appreciate your time and effort. I wanted to see what the work would be like before committing to payment, but now I feel comfortable and the payment is guaranteed. Thank you!

Thank you again for all your hard work! This has been such a fun process and I agree with my friends and family that it is hard to choose because there are so many great designs! Now that I've gotten to see a variety, I think I am definitely wanting lower case letters (with the long a pronunciation symbol over the second a). I don't think I want faces, brains, or heads in the logo. My favorite colors that have been posted are blues, greys, and taupes. I like the two colors in the fonts to show an emphasis on allay (when the words are stacked; if they are all in one line, it doesn't have to be two colors). Nice work everyone!

If I may, just one more suggestion. The closer to the colors I'm asking for, the easier it is for me to see myself having that logo. If the colors are way off, then it's harder for me to picture the right colors. Kind of like staging a home when selling because people have a hard time seeing themselves in things that are too far off from their own style. And the fyi, the spelling is Allay instead of Alley. Thought it might save some time to mention that. And I would like LLC in the design. Again, thank you, thank you!

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I am extending my deadline because there has not been as much activity today and I do not want to choose a logo because I am out of time without it being exactly what I was hoping for. Although there are some designs that are very close to what I want, I would like to give some more time for resubmissions with requested changes and/or new designs.

My deadline is today, please submit any last (new) submissions or changes requested to current submissions. All of your work has been amazing. Thank you everyone!

Doit avoir
- Simplicity
Images, fonts, colors that are soothing, relaxing, yet make a strong statement
I want a vector design that can be resized to fit any type of media or print. I will need to put the logo on my website, letterhead, brochures, and business cards, etc.
Bien d'avoir
- Colors:
-I am open on colors, but I like logos with a soothing color(s) included such as blues, greens, grays, light yellows, taupes. I love metallics. I am open to an integration of pink or purple as well.
-Personally, my favorite colors are (not necessarily together) white, turquoise, and metallics, but I know white would be difficult with backgrounds in the future.
-I like logo phrases that almost make words pop with using two separate colors.
-I would NOT want all primary colors.
Pronunciation:
-Sometimes people have trouble knowing how to pronounce the word "Allay" in my business name. I'd like to see some designs with the pronunciation symbol for a long "a" on the second "a" of Allay (it looks like a horizontal line across the second a).
Font Size:
-I seem to have an affinity for a lowercase a, but am open to both uppercase and lowercase letters.
-If there is a size emphasis in the words, I'd prefer it to be on the word, Allay.
-And a de-emphasis on the Behavioral Health, LLC
Font Style:
-I prefer a font on the clean, simpler, side.
-I do not like fonts such as Comic Sans.
Image:
-If an image is included, please see my "Should Not Have Features".
-I like simple or abstract designs even if they are not of a specific item; some detail is welcome, but not too busy
-I like swirls, but I wouldn't want the logo to be too feminine
-Consider things that are soothing/calming such as nature (various kinds of trees like cherry blossom trees, trails, flowers), light/sun, water, stones.
-Keeping in mind, I'd like to potentially fit this on a business card as well
Ne doit pas comporter
- I've done some research on others' logos and found some things that are too common, cliche, or I do not like them.
Please REFRAIN from the following in the logo design:
-lotus flowers
-rainbows
-hands
-head with the implication of brain functions
-therapy couches or chairs
-trickle effect on water (a colleague of mine has this)
-anything that reflects anxiety or depression or despair
-designs that are TOO busy; some detail is okay
-quirky fonts that are childlike, ethnic, gimmicky, or illegible
