Brief de Design de Logo
We are an eco-aware learning space, pre-K through 12, in the Dominican Republic with a strong emphasis on experiential learning. We are located on the north coast, sandwiched between the Caribbean sea and mountains. Our students are a mix of expat and local.
ISLA means "island" in Spanish and will also be an acronym for International School of Latin America a few years from now when we receive accreditation.
We would like the logo to be two-toned, relatively simple, and modern.
UPDATE: Though having a child/ children in the logo is not a necessity, we would love to see some more designs with this theme incorporated. Please check out our updated upload list (examples a-p) for some inspiration. Happy Designing!
The design could incorporate some of the following ideas:

conservation and preservation
wildlife
jungle
learning
exploration
children at play
some iconic flora and fauna:
coconut palms
rain trees
birds of paradise
mango trees
traveller's palm

We have a new idea that is in somewhat of a different direction than what we've been seeing. If anyone wants to try their hand at putting together a logo of the island of Hispaniola somehow under a magnifying glass, we would be interested to see that.
