Brief de Design de Logo

We need a new logo for our site. Our current landing page - www.socialkosmos.com - offers some inspiration in terms of colors, a beveled SocialKosmos img (the orange banner), and a colorful cosmos that we like; but it's deceiving, because it won't be our landing page for long. If you click one of the large category buttons (Nightlife, Enrichment, and Miscellany), then you'll have a better idea of the small(er) space we're working with. It needs to fit comfortably within a four-inch by four-inch space.

SocialKosmos is a beta Internet events billboard. We aggregate and display local events, things happening around users right now or in the near future. While anyone can use the site, we suspect that our target demo is between 18 and 34, they do some travelling, "go out" several times per week, and love to learn and do new things.

The co-founders prefer simple over complex, elegant over ornate, and intuitive over calculated.
