Brief de Design de Logo
Our company is based in Austin, TX and is called Square Root. We are an agile developer of software as a service, which helps big corporations become more efficient and optimize performance at all levels of their organizations. Our software analyzes data across an organization to pinpoint areas to focus on and improve. Essentially, our software provides data insights that allow companies to move forward and be more successful.
Our brand personality is analytical, insightful, proactive, resourceful, dependable, adaptable, fun and humble. We're not too corporate, but we need to be taken seriously by Fortune 500 companies. We bring the enthusiasm and speed of a start-up and the knowledge of a veteran to our customers.
We would like to see logo designs that convey forward movement or progress, technology, and youthful innovation. We do not want a stodgy, corporate blue software company logo. Colors we're interested in (but don't all need to be utilized) include dark purple, turquoise blue, orange/red, grey, black, or white. Colors to stay away from include corporate blue (like IBM or SAP), pink, and green.

Thank you to everyone who has already submitted a design. We want to encourage others who are still considering submitting a design to think beyond the obvious (square boxes and plant roots) and we encourage you to explore the colors listed in the brief (not necessarily all of them together).
The four main themes we're interested in exploring through design are:
- forward motion / progress / action / catalyst
- simplification / efficiency / improved process
- technology-driven insight / information / knowledge / "art of science"
- in-depth exploration / understanding / discovery

- We would look a logo lockup with a design mark and the words "Square Root."

- The name Square Root conveys math, but we absolutely do NOT want a square root symbol in the logo. Rather, we want a logo that could embody the idea of thinking outside the box and / or providing a strong foundation/complete organization understanding for a business to move forward.
