Brief de Design de Logo

Purchasing plants for the garden, in many cases, can be a big investment and a customer does this with an expectation of how they will look months and years into the future once they are fully grown. Unfortunately, often the only information that that a customer has available to them is the small amount of information and a tiny image on the plant labels, and in some cases, a brief conversation with the garden centre staff member who has never actually seen the garden that the plants will be placed into.

Within the process of making this purchase, a customer has to consider the features of the place where the plants are to be placed such as the soil type, the amount of water and sunshine available and any physical restraints surrounding it. The customer then has to decide on the aesthetics of the plants such as their full grown size, foliage type and colour, and flower colour so that it looks appealing when planted.

Once a customer has worked all this out, they then have to visit a garden centre and search through everything on offer to find plants that can cope in these growing conditions and which will reach the desired size and fill all the other requirements as well. This is no easy task in itself, especially for those with little or no plant knowledge. Eventually, if they do manage to find a few plants that look like they might suit, they then have to use their imagination to try to picture them when fully grown in their own garden. Unfortunately, unlike buying clothes, they can’t try the plants out for size and can’t even take them home and then return them if they find they don’t grow as the label promised they would.

The gardenAR app makes the process of making a plant selection that suits the conditions of the garden and has a high likelihood of achieving the desired outcome much easier for the customer. By using the gardenAR app, a customer will only be given options of those plants that suit the conditions of their garden, fit within the aesthetic requirements of the space size and which are currently available from local garden centres.
Once they have selected a plant from this list, they are then able to see how these plants may be when grown to full size in their own garden in real-time using Augmented Reality on the screen of their smartphone or tablet.

By using the gardenAR app, customers are able to take the guesswork out of making a plant purchase so they are more likely to choose a plant that ticks all their boxes and has a higher rate of success and potentially saves them a lot of money.
